Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! We hope your day will be filled with love, whether from your partner, family, friends or simply yourself. In preparation for making the day even more special, we’ve put together a list surrounding one of our favourite topics – fruit! We’ve lined up a host of delicious and indulgent fruity Valentine’s desserts and treats for you to try, and whilst they may not be quite as healthy as our normal recommendations, just remember, we’re all allowed to indulge once in a while. You deserve it!

Classic Chocolate Covered Strawberries

What fruit speaks Valentines Day above all others? The humble strawberry of course! Chocolate covered strawberries are not only a sweet gift, they’re also an aesthtically pleasing bite-size treat that appeals to almost everyone!

Chocolate covered strawberries also couldn’t be easier to make: first, simply rinse your strawberries, then once completely dry dip in the melted chocolate of your choice! Leave to solidify in the fridge on wax paper and you’ll have your sweet indulgent strawberries in no time.

Caramelised Bananas

We love bananas just as they are, but even we have to admit, we love having them like this from time to time! To make, for every banana you will need 1tbsp of butter and 1tbsp of sugar. Simply cut the banana in half, then melt the butter and the sugar (careful not to burn!) in a pan. Carefully add the banana and cook for a one to two minutes on each side. Voila! There you have it, a deliciously moreish dessert to share with the one you love. Serve with fresh cream or icecream! Heaven.

Frozen Yogurt Slabs

If you’re looking for something a bit different to have for dessert then these frozen yogurt slabs are the definite answer! They are also super simple to whip up the day before; simply mix together the yogurt of your choice with some mixed dried fruit, then spread evenly onto a foil covered baking tray. Finally, cover with berries and any other toppings of your choice then freeze over night! Totally fun and unique.

Fruity Cupid’s Arrows
